Issues Resolved in nVidia ForceWare Version 67.02:

This following are changes made and issues resolved since driver version
66.93:

.. Added new Performance and Quality option-Negative LOD bias

This control lets the user manually set negative LOD bias to "clamp" for

applications that automatically enable anisotropic filtering.

Applications sometimes use negative LOD bias to sharpen texture filtering.

This sharpens the stationary image but introduces aliasing when the scene is

in motion. Because anisotropic filtering provides texture sharpening without

unwanted aliasing, it is desirable to clamp LOD bias when anisotropic

filtering is enabled.

When the user enables anisotropic filtering through the control panel, the

control is automatically set to "Clamp".

Det er dog min erfaring, at performance level skal sættes til "High
Quality", hvis det skal reducere texture aliasing (eng. shimmering, kan ikke
finde et passende dansk udtryk).

Ok, nyt for mig. Hvis man tager Half-Life 2 som eksempel, hvor kan man:
1) finde oplysninger om at spillet benytter sig af negativ LOD bias
2) få et indtryk af effekten af at anvende nVidia driver v67.02 versus ældre
drivere?

Benytter FarCry, Sims2, WarCraft III og Doom3 sig også af negativ LOD bias?
