* US World War II Casualties Online

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) has added two
collections World War II casualty lists to its Archival Research
Catalog (ARC).
The records consist of digital images from the following reports:

· World War II Honor List of Dead and Missing Army and Army Air Forces
Personnel
· State Summary of War Casualties from World War II for Navy, Marine
Corps, and Coast Guard Personnel

The Army and Army Air Force casualty lists are arranged by state and
county, and then alphabetically by surname. The personnel are listed
with their serial number, rank, and type of casualty. The Navy, Marine
Corps, and Coast Guard casualty lists are arranged by state, then
alphabetically by surname. The personnel are listed with their rank,
branch of service, next of kin and home address.

The Archival Research Catalog (ARC) is the online catalog of NARA's
nationwide holdings in the Washington, DC, area; Regional Archives;
and Presidential Libraries. ARC replaces the National Archival
Information Locator (NAIL).
Currently, about 20 percent of NARA's vast holdings have been
described in ARC.
This includes some 124,000 digital images. That number is expected to
grow.
