A tough Question
Fra : Ukendt

Dato : 20-09-02 23:30

I want to be able to send a HTML email that has a feature that emails
me when it is previewed. I need it so I know when my employees pick up their
email because they don't always reply to the receipt to let me know. How
would I do this?

I have heard you could have a image file that instead of being a photo sends
email to my email account.

Thanks a head of time,

Brian

Not at all.

If you had access to running programs on the receivers' computer,
so had virusmakers.

But you can insert an image like
<img src="http://www.example.com/spy.gif?mynameis=xxx">
- then the web server log file will tell you who has opened the mail (with
an email client that automatically loads images in HTML mails).
"spy.gif" could be a server side application (written in Java to keep
the subject of this group) which sends an email to a predefined address.

The less technical answer: If you need this solution, you have greater
problems than this solution can solve...

Regards

Jonathan

If you are an employer, get qualified assistance from a well-known
company near you.

You need a specially configured webserver to do that.
