I have recently come across lots of newsgroups where cults are
somewhat a topic. I will give my two cents here as my contribution
in fighting destructive cults.
There are many serious organizations around the world that fight
destructive cults. If you surf the web you will find these
organizations. There is one particular organization that is damn
serious about going after these cults or pseudo-religions, and
that's called FECRIS.
I don't think these cults have the right to exist or the right to
practice their bogus beliefs and FECRIS is particularly dedicated to
destroying these cults. I suggest you visit their website.

For your information...
ECKANKAR is the primal religion, and all cults are merely offshoots of
ECKANKAR.
If you have issues about cults, it may be best to direct them to the
Living ECK Master, Sri Harold Klemp. Harold is the embodiment of the
highest Godhead, and the highest religious authority on earth.
Hope this helps,
J

So, who exactly is the one who chooses which groups don't have the right to
exist, and by what criteria?
Any why isn't the destruction of other groups considered a cult-like
activity?
Care to comment?
Doug.

The organizations qualified to choose which cult or bogus religion
doesn't have the right to exist are the AFF in the US and FECRIS in
Europe.
Do you need to be told what the criteria are? Just take a good look
at what the Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Moonies, Pentecostal,
Scientology, Hare Krishna and Christian groups have caused. I don't
think I need to go any further.

Simple, they are not cults.

John,
Who has determined that those two groups are qualified to choose? Is there
an external organization who has provided this qualification, or have they
decided this based on their own criteria?
I'm afraid I don't know what you mean when you say: "Just take a good look
at what the Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Moonies, Pentecostal, Scientology,
Hare Krishna and Christian groups have caused."
What do you think they have caused?
Are you suggesting that AFF and FECRIS are not cults simply because you say
so, or do you have a definition of what you mean by cult that shows us that
AFF and FECRIS are not cults, but that other groups are cults?
Do you think that the purpose of AFF and FECRIS is to educate the public
about the dangers of cults, or is their purpose to shut down whatever groups
they deem as cults?
When you say that cults don't have a right to exist, surely you will agree
that legally they do, in most countries. So, do you mean this based on
religious grounds? What sort of right to exist are you referring to?
Thanks for your previous response.
Doug.

Simple minds have a subtle 'association'. They band together in clusters ,
and then have great fun putting different lables on each structure, until
one cluster confronts another. Then the fun tends to dissipate.
Just growing pains.
Lot of growing going on at the moment .....'-)

Either this is a 'one man show' or he is part of a "group" that plans the
destruction of something he judges has not the right to exist.
I just wonder if the 'group' he belongs to has anything to say about
"judging" hehehe...

I guess you are saying you don't belong to any group, as you didn't answer,
