Hi, and happy new year from the US (Alaska, actually)

If any of your newsgroup's readers can read english (I am assuming the
language here is Danish from the "dk" part of the newsgroup title) perhaps
you would be willing to help with a DHTML problem I have...

I am creating a webpage that uses two frames (as 20%-80% columns on the
page). The right frame contains a ***very*** large map of a portion of
Alaska that has DHTML pop-up menus all over it that are activated by
JavaScript mouseover events. The menu offers the opportunity to click a
link that displays expanded information in the left frame. All of this
works great, except that when the left frame loads after a menu choice, the
right frame apparently reloads as well, which returns the map to the top
left corner if the viewer has scrolled down or to the right. The subroutine
used to dynamically change the left frame is:

>function open_ans_cre_info_frame() {
>parent.frames
[0].location.replace('info_frames/sus_riv/ans_cre_info_frame.html');
>return false;
>}

Can anyone help me out? I assume I have to trap or somehow disable a
refresh or reload
event, but I can't for the life of me figure out how.

I can put the page on the web if it would be helpful to see the problem
occur.

Thanks. My email address is david@edgrens.net. I appreciate any help with
this.

David Edgren
