Forgotten The System Password
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you've not set a System Password before, the unit will accept the default password "admin". Remember that all passwords are case sensitive.
If you have changed the System Password but cannot remember it, then the following procedure can be used to reset the Secure Router back to its factory default settings. This will set the System Password back to "admin" but will also:
Clear any configuration you may have already entered.
Disconnect any network connections hosted by the Secure Router.
Note: 3Com recommends that you print this page before proceeding.

To reset the Secure Router:
Remove power from the Secure Router.
Disconnect all your computers and the cable or DSL modem from the Secure Router.
Using an Ethernet cable, connect the Ethernet Cable/DSL port on the rear of the Secure Router to any one of the LAN ports.
Re-apply power to the Secure Router. The Alert LED will flash as the Secure Router starts up, and after approximately 30 seconds will start to flash more slowly (typically 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off). Once the Alert LED has started to flash slowly, remove power from the Secure Router.
Remove the cable connecting the Ethernet Cable/DSL port to the LAN port, and reconnect one of your computers to one of the Router's LAN ports.
Re-apply power to the Secure Router, and when the start-up sequence has completed, browse to
http://192.168.1.1 and run the configuration wizard. You may need to restart your computer before you attempt this.
Alternatively, Restore previously saved settings:
Log onto the Secure Router using the password "admin".
Click on the System Tools menu.
Click on the Configuration tab
Follow the instructions in Restoring a Previously Saved Configuration.
When the configuration wizard has completed, you may reconnect your network.
