Can I use my digital camera as a webcam?
Some cameras from Fuji and Kodak are designed for this, so you should check your manual. If your camera doesn't already support this, you may still be able to do it if you have a video capture card (or USB device) of some kind, by connecting the video out from your camera to the video in on your PC. The results may be less than satisfactory since your camera may not be optimized for real-time video. It may have a slow frame rate or display unwanted information (such as shutter speed) on the display. Even in the best of cases, you shouldn't expect results much better than what you can get with a simple webcam. Most people don't have the bandwidth to exploit extra resolution and most videoconferencing software isn't set up for it either. You should think carefully about whether it's worth using your expensive camera as a subpar $50 webcam.

1. Turn on your computer, connect your DV CAM and turn it on too
2. Check out the Hardware List in System. You should see something like "Microsoft DV Camera & VCR"
3. Make sure your DV CAM is working. Test it in your Video Capture/Editing Program such as VideoWave/VideoStudio
4. Download the Trackercam software (it's free)

5. Install the software using default options
6. Start Trackercam program, it will detect your DV CAM (in this step, both of my DV cams were detected successfully without any difficulty)
7. You should see a small window at the center of your screen showing the DV live catpure (just like a webcam)
8. DO NOT CLOSE THE TRACKERCAM PROGRAM. Open Netmeeting now. It will detect the driver and ask you to confirm (Microsoft DVD WDM something...), confirm it
9. You can now press "Start Video" button, it will show the startup logo of Trackercam first and then the DV capture content. DONE

Ved det ikke drejer sig om video-kamera, men alligevel:
