IDF video shows flotilla passengers tell Israel Navy to 'go back to
Auschwitz'
Army releases audio recording of exchange between Israel Navy ships
and passengers on the Mavi Marmara, the central ship of a Gaza aid
flotilla raided by Israel on Monday.
The IDF Spokesperson released on Friday an audio recording of an
exchange between Israel Navy ships and passengers on the Gaza-bound
Turkish ship Mavi Marmara.
In the recording, an Israeli Navy radio operator warns of the ship's
approach into Israel's naval blockade when a passenger says in
response, "Shut up, go back to Auschwitz."
The release of the recording is another step taken by the Israel
Defense Forces to solidify the claim that the passengers of the Mavi
Marmara were determined to attack the soldiers who boarded the deck.
According to early findings of a navy investigation, during Israel's
takeover of a Turkish ship in the Gaza-bound aid flotilla this week,
some passengers tried to take captive three commandos who lost
consciousness as a result of the activists' blows.
After dozens of other commandos began searching the ship, the Mavi
Marmara, the three soldiers regained consciousness and managed to join
their comrades.
