Pros and Cons of Having Sex at Work

According to a recent sex survey, 14% of Americans admit to having had
sex at work at one time or another. Strangely, more men have
participated in this extracurricular activity than women, but it seems
that while having sex at work is still slightly taboo, it’s also
something that people like to engage in, for the excitement and fun of
doing it where they are not supposed to.

We all know that there are consequences to having an affair with
someone you work with, particularly if either or both of you are
involved in relationships with other people. There can be emotional
and psychological problems that arise, never mind the issues of
infidelity and sticky stuff like that. But what if you are just having
sex at work? Are there any problems with this? Maybe you are one of
those 14% of Americans who have had sex at work, loved doing it and
would do it again in a second. Another poll by Monster asks people to
state whether they have had sex at the office and if not, whether they
would like to. Of the 963 people that responded, 455 said they that
have not had office sex, but more importantly, that they wouldn’t mind
doing it there.

So, what are the pros and cons of having sex at work? Let’s check it
out together.

Pros
The simplest answer is that having sex at work, getting laid on your
office desk or bending your favorite co-worker over the boardroom
table is exciting, thrilling and a huge turn-on. Whether you are
sleeping with someone you work with or your girlfriend or wife visits
you at the office for some hanky-panky, a major pro to having sex at
work is that is boosts your sex drive, adds passion to your sex life
and gives you something interesting to think about each day at work
instead of staring listlessly at concrete walls and piles of
unfinished work. And you have some reason to get up each morning and
go to work, thinking that today might again be your lucky day.

It also gives you something exciting to tell your buddies about. Let’s
face it: the old story about how you did it with the hottest
cheerleader in high school is getting old…and they likely know it’s a
lie anyway. So, mums the word with your lover—she doesn’t need to know
you’re spilling your beans, but your buddies will certainly want to
know. Details: who is she, what happened, where did you do it and how
long did it last? Was she loud? Did anyone hear you guys? And, most
importantly, do you think it will happen again?

You finally get the chance to be the hot, horny and spontaneous guy
you always thought you were. After reading about how to have great sex
in your favourite men’s magazines, it’s about time you put what you’ve
read to practice. Flirt with that new girl. Suggest you work together
on a project. Order Chinese food and split a bottle of wine after
hours, all on the boss’s tab. And then, when you both know what’s
going to happen next—after all, this happens in so many movies—you
make your move, and then have passionate sex on your desk.

One last pro to having sex at work is that it is good for you as a
stress reliever. Work is tiring, can be boring, and is a source of
stress for many people. So, instead of taking advantage of the
discounted gym memberships some offices offer, get a little stress
relieving exercise of your own by inviting your girlfriend to meet you
for lunch. Pull down the shades, lift up her skirt and in a matter of
minutes, you’ve had your lunch hour workout with an extra 45 minutes
to spare, then you’ll actually have time to go and eat lunch!

Cons
Obviously there are also cons to engaging in sex at work. Some of the
most obvious ones are that you might get caught with your pants down,
or you might enter into a very sticky and uncomfortable relationship
with a co-worker that you’ve been intimate with. What if she wants to
get serious? Are you ready for that? Worse yet, there might be
security cameras in places you aren’t aware of and you and her will
get caught in the act and end up on some website that your mother or
father regularly visits. Ouch!

Unless you don’t care about someone finding out or the consequences of
having to face all your co-workers who overheard you coming loudly in
your office, then sex at work can be a very tricky thing to do. Even
when you think no one is watching or hearing you, there’s always
something that gives it away. Like the cleaning lady…or the security
cameras…or the girl you are screwing.

On a serious note, having sex at work might actually get you fired. If
someone catches you, you could be in serious trouble for fooling
around on the job, for not treating the company’s property with utmost
respect or for leaving DNA behind on the comfy chairs in the
boardroom.

It’s more often than not a bad idea to have any kind of sexual contact
with someone you work with because you never know where it could lead.
Besides all the problems that arise with having to see this person
every day, you might run into trouble with sexual harassment issues as
well.

So, there you have it—the pros and cons of having sex (not an affair)
at work. See what’s more important to you and then figure out if that
5-minute lay on the couch in the coffee room is worth it to you. Of
course this is not an exhaustive list. There are other pros and cons,
