En anden tråd fik mig til at kikke på smartctl, og specielt min HDC skriver
den noget med fejl, men jeg forstår ikke regtigt hvad det er den fortæller,
er det noget jeg bør gøre noget ved?
Eller kan jeg bare læne mig tilbage, og slappe, den har det fint?

TEST RESULT: PASSED - er det ikke det der er vigtigt? Checksum kan den jo
ikke beregne når det er første gang du kører smartctl.

Det vigtige i denne sammenhæng er at dine 'Extended Offline SelfTest'
er afviklet uden fejl - Og at disken klarer ' overall-health
self-assessment test'.

Jeg får samme warning om 'invalid SMART checksum' på mine Maxtor
diske. Det skyldes formentlig at de forskellige disk producenter
improviserer lidt med SMART og ikke altid følger standarden helt
slavisk - Og det beklager SmartMonTools sig sæ'følig over...
