Oracle on Leopard Server
Fra : Per Rønne

Dato : 30-10-07 14:36

I am trying to install Oracle om Leopard Server and see that I should
add some commands in the IPServices file, namely:

ulimit -Hu 2068
ulimit -Su 2068
ulimit -Hn 65536
ulimit -Sn 65536
=

Unfortunately, the file has been removed from the system:

rqnne root# find / -name "IPServices" -print
/Volumes/Tiger/System/Library/StartupItems/IPServices
/Volumes/Tiger/System/Library/StartupItems/IPServices/IPServices
rqnne root#
=

You see, it can be found in Tiger but not in Leopard.

Oracle demands MacOS X Server 10.3.6 but I try to see whether it can be
set up for MacOS X Server 10.5 too ...

The same seem to have happened to the /etc/rc script that should be
given the same commands, just before IPServices is being called ... The
script is missing. Both in Leopard and in Leopard Server.

papirerne grundigt nok igennem}.

for at fikse sagen?

Xposting to mixed language groups in native tonque is a lesser idea..

Anyways, isn't ulimit still present, just in some other file?
grep -rl 'ulimit -H' /PATH/.. might reveal it. YMMV..
