Problemer med WinTV PVR USB 2.0
Fra : Peter

Hej

Flg. har jeg afsendt til Hauppauge's forum.
Måske er der også nogle kloge hoveder herinde som kan hjælpe mig?

********

For the past 12 hours I have tried -with no luck- to get my WinTV PVR USB 2.0 to work.

I have tried to install it numerous times using the official guide
(http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=93), and I have tried all the beta drivers, beta
TV-software etc.

My problems are these:
Both on my Laptop (Dell) and my Desktop (Siemens) it seems like everything goes fine until I scan
for channels.
Sometimes it finds channels (both TV and radio) but most times it doesnt.

The only (few) times that it has found any channels has been right after a reinstall.
Then I can view TV or listen to radio for like 5-10 secs until the radio gives me a high-pitched
digital noise, and the TV screen turns into snow. Unmatter what I do, I cant succesfully view any TV
or listen to any radio until at new reinstall.

My theory is this:
I live in Denmark and I get my Cable TV/ Cable Radio through a jack in the wall. (I dont have any
Cable boxes inside my apartment.) My Cable TV provider also provide internet through the same cables
to the people in my apartment complex which subscribes to it. I dont subscribe to that service
myself. That means that there are 'internet signals' in every Cable antenna line even if you dont
subscribe to the service.

Could the mixed signals be a problem together with the WinTV PVR USB 2.0?
Actually I dont think it is because if my Cable provider sends signals through the cables its
unlikely that they would use both the TV cable AND the radio cable.

Anyone know how I can get the box to work?
Anyone have any theories as to why I manage to get it working only for a few secs? and why I have
the same problems on both my PCs?

I thought about giving up many hours ago, but I cant seem to find a good alternative to the WinTV
PVR USB 2.0.

Regards

Hej Peter

Har du installeret msn-messenger?
Kører du messenger mens du kører win-TV200?
Det kan godt have noget med det at gøre.

Min skærm gik i sne, da messenger kørte i baggrunden, men jeg mistede dog
ikke mine kanaler...

Held og lykke
Sano

Det lyder til at det er et hardware problem ., hvorfor tager du ikke din
laptop med et sted hen og tester det med en anden antenne ?

Det kunne jo være at du kunne udelukke at det var din antenneforbindelse der
var problemet ..

~~Frank .,

Jeg tror det er et software problem.

Det virkede i går aftes, men her til morgen virkede det så kun 10 minutter hvorefter det gik ned
igen. :(
