Interrupts not syncing?

Hello folks,

Tried installing Red Hat with linuxiso.org but Anaconda just freezes
up on me. I even bought it at an online store fearing that the ISO
images were corrupt but the same thing happened. Knoppix boots
sucesfully one out of ten times and when it does it's as fragile as
hell. NetBSD however is more stable but when I get to the packages
same thing all over again.

I sumize that my hardware is the culprit here but then why does
windows run without hickups. Is there a hardware driver for linux that
I'm missing here?

My hardware is Abit BE6 (Intel BX 440) motherboard with an internal
Highpoint UDMA controller and a Intel PIII 500 Mhz CPU.

I've tried to install Red Hat so many times now that my CD-R drive has
died on me. May she rest in peace. Can someone clue me in where I can
linux to work for me?

Regards,

KF
