My ggg-grandfather, Henrik Sørensen LUND was born in Kalundborg
(Holbæk Amt) 22 January 1798 to Jens Christensen LUND (1754-1799)
and his 3rd wife, Dorthea Cicilia BUCHWALD (1771-1853). He had a
brother, Martin Esbesen LUND born 13 march 1799 in Kalundborg.
Both brothers are in the 1801Kalundborg census.

I would like more info on the brother, Martin. Since Henrik's and
Martin's father died in 1799, their mother, Dorthea, married Adam
Ferdinand BACHE (spelling varies) later that year. Adam BACHE
died 19 august 1819 in Kalundborg. Dorthea died 17 December
1853 in Kalundborg. Martin may be in later census records.

Henrik eventually came to Jylland, married on Mors in Thisted Amt,
had a son on Mors, and had a son in Viborg before settling in Råsted,
Ringkøbing Amt. The 1855 Råsted census shows him as enke, cand.
pharm., eier af møllen, and bræendevinsbrander. He employed 15
people. That is the last record I have of him and his other son,
Niels Andreas Buchwald LUND (1828-?). I don't know when or
where either died. Hope to find out someday.

Dorthea and Adam (Henrik's mother and step-father) had 6 children,
Dorthea Kirstine Andree (1800), Niels Jens (1802), Sorrine Nicholine
(1803), Adam Ferdinant (1804), Peder Christian Schierbech (1806), and
Maria Sophia Josephine Emilie (1812). I would like more info on these
individuals. Maybe a lookup in the 1834, 1840, 1845,... census
records.

Henrik's father and his 2nd wife, Edle Cathrine Nicoline OSTERMANN
(ABT 1770-1796), had a daughter, Ellen Cathrine LUND born 1794 in
Kalundborg. OSTERMANN may be spelled ØSTERMANN.
I don't know what happened to her.

Hjemmeside). They have many of Holbæk Amt early census records.
