The best way to replace characters in a Fo~
Fra : Jim

Im still working on my messageboard.
The stuff with the returns not being saved to the database still remains. I
cant seem to figure out where to place the proper code, to have returnes in
the messages be replaced by <BR> tags.

Can someone tell me if Its better to place such code in the Post file,
before submitting it to the database, or is it easier to sort out the return
values when the message is actually displayed in the messagview?

thanks

If you want to edit the data eg using a htmlform after doing a post, keep
the database clean - otherwise post the tags
It is a tedious task to figure out which are tags written by the user and
which are not - if you allow editting the records
